One of the new features of iOS 10
is the option to record a short
video, scribble whatever you want
across it with your finger as you record it,
then send the video with your message
(as an animated graphic) to someone. To
do this, open the Messages app, then tap
the notepad and pen icon (at the top) to
open a new message. Type the recipient’s
name in the To field, tap the icon with
two fingers at the bottom of the chat
window, then tap the arrow icon at the
bottom of your screen.
You’ll now see seven coloured circles
on the left . Tap the
video-camera icon on the right to see
three icons, which let you switch between
your front and back camera, start/stop

your recording and take a photo. Select
the colour you want to use, then scribble
your message or doodle across your video
as you record it (maximum 10 seconds).
Tap the icon at the top left to delete it and
start again. If you’re happy with your
recording, tap the blue upload icon at the
bottom to send it.
