YouTube has a vast
treasure trove of content.
While the visuals are very
important for most videos, there are
many where you may only want to listen
while doing something else. These may
include interviews, music videos or
educational lectures (like those on Ted
Talks bit.ly/WZEr5D). Unlike
YouTube’s default app, the latest version
of Firefox for phones and tablets lets you
listen to video content with your screen
turned off (this also saves battery life).
To do this, install the Firefox app
(Android bit.ly/2gDaaUf; iOS apple.co/2gDd8Im) or update it to
the latest version. Next, open Firefox, go to www.youtube.com, tap the search icon
(see screenshot below left), then search
for the video you want. As it plays you
can turn off your device’s screen at any
time and continue listening to its audio.
Did you know that you can shorten your urls with LinkShrink and make $$$ from every click on your shortened links.
